The Fratellis Premiere "Stand Up Tragedy" Video

Alicia Maciel | December 2017

Scottish rock trio The Fratellis shared a video for their first single off In Your Own Sweet Time (via Cooking Vinyl) "Stand Up Tragedy". The video can easily catch fans off guard as no band members are visibly present throughout the clip.

The plot-line for "Stand Up Tragedy" takes place in a senior home with vibrant pops of color scattered across the muted environment. As the song's melodic composition and adrenaline builds, everyone sways to the electrifying rhythm with glitter on their cheeks, wearing feather boas, taking swings of alcohol, and smiling from ear to ear.

The Fratellis are best known for Jon Fratelli's lyricism and catchy song structure. Striving to keep fans on their tip-toes, the band's fifth studio album In Your Own Sweet Time releasing March 9, 2018 produced by Tony Hoffer (Beck, The Kooks) showcases a new style to their witty, high energy roots. Layering psych-influenced back-up vocals, highlighting the riffs, and playfully telling a dark-humor story through their lyrics The Fratellis still have a hat full of tricks to release.

Catch Jon Fratelli (vox, guitar), Barry Fratelli (Bass), and Mince Fratelli (drums) at Metro Friday, May 11 and elsewhere in the U.S. here. Find tour dates below and pre-order the album here!
